The mission of Houston County High School is to prepare our students to be productive members of society who serve their communities and remain lifelong learners.

Belief Statement

We at Houston County High School believe each student can:
  • Perform to rigorous standards.
  • Exhibit positive self-esteem through working with others in an atmosphere of mutual respect and responsibility.
  • Demonstrate a heightened aesthetic sensitivity through an increased awareness of the arts.
  • Accept diversity by interacting positively with others in the school and community.
  • Assume responsibility for his or her own education.


Vision Statement


We at Houston County High School envision a learning environment that studies the past while preparing for the future.  We shall actively seek creative teaching methods to encourage all students to excel in academics, the arts and career-technical education while exceeding the standards.
